Modern. Contemporary. Indigenous. Artist.

Charcoal Life Exhibition: A Viewer’s View

Brutal.
A viewer of my Charcoal Life Exhibition found it emotionally brutal.

I apologised.  But he said no, that is sometimes the point of art: to put things in peoples’ faces and communicate to them hard things in a way that they can understand.

The Charcoal Life Exhibition runs until Friday, 16th September at the Redfern Community Centre.  I conduct free (booking required) Artist’s Tours during the exhibition.

JEMIMA WHITFORD

I am a fusional and contemporary artist, frequently taking traditional symbols and placing these into a modern contemporary style.
